Join the community of letter writers

Do you want someone on earth to receive your beautiful letter? Do you want to hear about other people's daily lives, culture, joys and struggles? Do you want to open up to others and make a pen and paper connection? If so, below I explain how the community works.

• You enter your email and the postal address of where the letters should be sent.
• We match you with a random community member, sharing their postal address with you and your postal address with them via email. Your email is not shared with anyone and is just used by us to do the postal address sharing.
• You will be paired together for 2 months at which point you will receive a new pairing. One of you will be nominated to send the first letter. The recipient should respond by post within 5 working days.
• You are free to continue writing letters with any of your previous pairings, and can send me an email at tom@tomfinet.com to continue the pairing you currently have, or to stop receiving new pairings, or leave the community altogether.

Guidance

• Make your letter beautiful. Make your handwritting beautiful, use a pretty stamp, some quality paper, if you feel like it, add a drawing. Let's make beauty a priority.
• You can write about anything.You could share a short story, a poem, a funny thing that happened to you earlier today, part of a subject you find interesting, an opinion you have, an ambition for your life, a struggle you are going through. Literally anything is allowed, so long as you are not breaking the law.
• You can stay anonymous.You are free to reveal as little or as much about yourself as you wish.

House Rules

• You must be 18+ years old.
• Letters must be handwritten.
• Threats are not permitted.
• Sharing letter contents with anyone is by default not permitted.

Breaking any of the house rules will result in instant bannishment from the communit
